Spot the difference. We dare you. The same bag, with a little more character thrown in. A few quirky cosmetic flaws that come with the true nature of woven nylon. If we wouldn't proudly carry it ourselves, it doesn't leave us.

What makes a bag Perfectly Imperfect?

Hard to spot, but here's what earns a bag its stamp:

  • Stitching that wanders. Our machine stitching is never ruler-straight anyway, that's part of the handmade charm. On these, it just wandered off a little further than we'd like.
  • Labels with a past. Our labels are cut from deadstock leather, so they've lived a whole life before they met us. Still beautiful, just with a touch more grit, an emboss that sits a little shallow, or a mark that didn't quite clear our full-price check.
  • A few extra pulls. Tough nylon loves to catch, and these have a couple more little loops in the weave.
  • Deeper creases. They can look dramatic out of the packaging, but they soften once your bag is filled and carried.
  • Extra knots and bonus weaves. A little knot where the thread was joined, or a spot where the weave goes its own way for a moment.

None of it is a fault. It's the same bag you're seeing here in the photos, it just didn't make our full-price check on looks alone.

We make every bag the slow way, and we've kept the same hands on it for four years. Cut from 100% recycled nylon, a woven monofilament that wears tough and only gets better with use. The odd pull and knot is never a flaw, just the fingerprint of the weave as it comes off the looms in Gujarat, the home of nylon. Our Mumbai team stitches each one from the thickest 120 GSM fabric. Every cowhide label is cut by hand from deadstock leather at the same Kolkata atelier we've worked with since the start, so no two are ever the same. Four years with the same makers, because a bag worth keeping is worth getting right.
